PSA Drive to Life Contest - Traffic crashes are the leading cause of teen death in America. Encourage your students to create a public service announcement (PSA) for the 2014 Drive2Life Contest to show what teens can do to prevent, avoid, and get out of an impaired-driving situation.
We are beginning a chapter of MESA at Oquirrh Hills starting second quarter. MESA (Math, Engineering, Science, Achievement) is an organization designed to increase the achievement of minorities and females in the above areas and Technology. However, anyone who is interested can join the program.
Our goals are:
1. Increase the number of students in these groups who pursue such coursework.
2. Motivate these groups to take advantage of opportunities offered to them.
3. Strengthen confidence and provide mentors.
4. Increase graduation rates.
